Police Officers Accused Of Illegal Searches Want Separate Trials

Back in October 2012, four Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) officers were charged with conducting illegal strip searches and illegal body cavity searches. Read our blog on the story here.

At a status hearing on Monday, December 17, 2012 before Milwaukee County Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Wagner, three of the accused officers, Jeffrey Dollhopf, Brian Kozelek and Jacob Knight, requested separate trials from the fourth accused officer, Michael Vagnini. Officer Vagnini faces the most charges and the most serious charges, including a charge for sexual assault.
