Bridge Struck By Truck Safe For Driving

On May 28, 2013, a semi-flatbed truck carrying a forklift struck the bridge on Highway 45 at Wisconsin Avenue. Pieces of concrete from the bridge fell onto the highway as a result of the accident. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (“DOT”) has determined that the bridge is safe for traffic, although the bridge is scheduled to be demolished in 2015 as part of the Zoo Interchange construction project.
