Distracted Drivers Caught On Camera

Today’s TMJ4 in Milwaukee has a popular feature called “Speedbusters,” where television cameras and radar guns catch drivers exceeding the speed limit. The television station decided to focus on distracted driving, and their cameras caught drivers engaging in all kinds of unsafe behavior, such as eating while driving and talking on the phone while driving. In addition, numerous drivers were observed texting while driving, an especially dangerous behavior. In Wisconsin, texting while driving is a primary offense, meaning drivers can be pulled over by law enforcement if observed texting. Fines range between $20 and $400.
