The Wisconsin personal injury lawyers of Samster, Konkel & Safran are participating in a campaign to prevent distracted driving, called “Band2Gether.” This campaign is sponsored by the Journal Broadcasting Group (“JBG”), including Today’s TMJ4, 620 WTMJ AM and the Lake 94.5 FM, as well as other sponsors. As part of that campaign, our team of automobile accident attorneysis speaking to local schools and community groups regarding the dangers of distracted driving. On Monday, September 30, 2013, Attorney Jonathan S. Safran spoke to about 1,400 Germantown High School students, providing the students with statistics on distracted driving and tips to prevent distracted driving. The “Band2Gether” campaign is running from now to approximately the middle of October. Drivers can visit one of the JBG stations’ Facebook pages, “like” the page, and take the Band2Gether pledge to not text and drive. Drivers who take the pledge can then register for an IPad mini weekly giveaway. Drivers can also visit and “like” the Samster, Konkel & Safran Facebook page and the other sponsors’ Facebook pages, and then register another entry for the IPad mini giveaway. The campaign is also offering blue Band2Gether thumb bands for drivers to show their commitment to not text and drive.
