The Campbell Soup Company of Camden, New Jersey has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 300 cases of its Prego Italian Sauce. The recall, which involves the 24-ounce jars of the sauce, was issued due to the risk of spoilage. Consumers can identify products affected by the recall by examining the “Best By” date printed on the top of the lid on the jars. The affected products have an expiration date of June 16, 2015, and a time code of “CT BJ ZV 0330” through “CT BJ ZV 0449.” Campbell advises consumers not to eat the product, but to return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
