Hale Interchange Ramps Opening Ahead of Schedule

Posted on

One of the good things associated with the approach of winter in Wisconsin is that road construction season is coming to an end. For example, starting on Friday, November 14, 2014, the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation (“DOT”) will be reopening a series of ramps that had been closed during construction on the Hale Interchange. On Friday morning, the Interstate 43 North on-ramp from Highway 100 will reopen. Then on Saturday morning, two additional ramps will reopen: (1) the Interstate 894 East ramp from the Zoo Interchange to Interstate 43 South and (2) the Interstate 43 South off-ramp to Highway 100. The ramps are opening ahead of schedule, because the DOT expected the ramps to remain closed until the end of November. Some construction on the Hale Interchange will continue, but with minimal traffic impact.
