Heroic Action Saves Passengers in Bus Accident

Posted on

On Saturday, January 24, 2015, a group of approximately 34 people were traveling in a tour bus on Interstate 94 from Potawatomi Casino in Milwaukee back to Kenosha. During the trip, the 68-year-old bus driver suddenly collapsed behind the wheel. The bus then started to swerve, veering into the guardrails of the freeway. When passenger Jill Bien realized something was wrong with the bus driver, she was able to take control of the steering wheel and pull the bus over to the side of the road. Eleven passengers suffered minor injuries. Fortunately, due to the quick thinking of Ms. Bien, there were no serious injuries as a result of the incident.
