On Wednesday, February 17, 2016, a van struck the front porch of a residence on Milwaukee’s east side. According to a witness, the vehicle “came out of nowhere” and hit a house located near the intersection of East Locust Street and North Farwell Avenue. Prior to colliding into the house, the van struck two parked cars. After the accident, local residents called 911 and told the driver of the van to stay inside the vehicle. Instead, the driver got out of the van and started walking away from the scene. Police and fire department personnel were able to find the driver, who was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities suspect that a medical condition with the driver contributed to the accident.
